I used to watch that show all the time when I was young back in the early and mid 1980's it was shown on Nick at Nite. The Monkees was actually a music group and they had a Television show as well it was a comedy show. I used to like the Monkees better than the Beatles as a music group too. I have there greatest hits! I'm going to also buy there DVD episodes.

I prefer them to the Beatles to this day! I loved watching them on Nick at Nite too. The DVD collections are great, I have both, and they'll bring back neato memories... actually, I was surprised how much I remembered. My favorite was Micky - well, is Micky. I've been a fan for t-twenty years (already!?) and love the electic nature of their music. In what other pop group can you find Broadway, folk, country and R&B/rock all in one? Hail, hail the Monkees!

I listened to The Monkees on LP & radio. I watched the show before Nick at Night was ever born. Now I feel olde!

I was pretty young back in the 60's but my brother was really into it. He even had a Monkees puzzle that he left put together on a tv table. I used to go in his room and take a section apart and put back together. It was a picture of them all sitting in/on a red stagecoach.

"Hey hey we're the Monkees! People say we monkey around. But we're too busy singing, to put anybody down!" I loved that show when I was a kid.

I watched them when it was the original show. Loved them. I used to collect their cards that came with bubblegum. Sure wish I knew what I did with them. Davy of course was my favorite, being a young girl. I still have their album somewhere.

A couple of tidbits: Mike Nesmith's mom invented white out
and Jimi Hendrix opened for them in some concerts.

Yes I remember them... and did you all know that the mother of one of the Monkees invented Liquid Paper? (The white out liquid we use to cover mistakes in the office?) I am not sure if it was Peter or Mickey's mom...but it was one of them.
