Yes the earth really does rotate because if it didn't we wouldn't have time. The earth rotates every 24 hours which means a day passed which is how we know the earth has rotated. So i hope that answered your question to show that time and the earth's rotation connect to each other.

Not only does it rotate, but it revolves, too. An example is watching the sun rise and set. The fact that we see it every morning and every night shows that the earth has movement, along with many other objects in our solar system.

No it doesnt. In fact i must say you are a genius beacuase i have been thinking on the similar lines. It actually is an example of Static supplementary astagmatal illusion. Since we humans are on a linear plane on the tangential vector on earth , our diploid eyes get this illusion. It will take some big researh to prove it but our science is not equipped to explore that at this moment

Tell me, how would here be day and night if the Sun stays still the whole time and the Earth doesn't move? It's like shining a torch liight on one part of a football. Eternal darkness on one side and eternal day time on the other. Do we have eternal darkness or day? I don't think so.

I am sorry if i go in much of scientific details.NOW START THINKING, EARTH IS ROUND AND EACH DAY IS OF 24 HOURS.SUPPOSE EARTH IS NOT ROTATING.BUT IT'S STILL REVOLVING AROUND SUN .AND IN 365 DAYS IT COMPLETES ONE REVOLUTION AROUND SUN.NOW TRY TO GO A BIT DEEPER,IF EARTH IS NOT ROTATING THEN LOGICALLY IT MUST BE
365 DAYS=1DAY BECAUSETHE POINT FROM WHICH IT STARTED,IT SHOULD COME BACK TO THAT PARTICULAR POINT IN 365 DAYS.HENCE 365 DAYS=1DAY.
THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE
HENCE OUR SUPPOSITION OF EARTH NOT ROTATING IS WRONG.
