for a data disc (files straight onto CD), they can be any format (except copy-protected wma because they will lose their license). just copy them onto the disc and copy them back to your new computer.
if you have a portable device of some sort, you should put all of your songs on there so you don't waste CDs. Or you could use a DVD; 4.7GB is much better than just .7GB (700MB) that a CD holds.

If you have a computer that has Windows Media Player, you're in luck. I do this all the time on my computer.
When you have all of your music in the computer's library, go under "Portable Player". Then plug your MP3 player into the computer.
Your computer should read it and it will show you any music you already have on it in a list. Next to this list will be a bunch of music of your choice in another list. You can pick the songs you want by clicking on the box next to them.
When you're ready to load the music and your MP3 player is plugged in, click "Copy Music". It will start loading music into your MP3 player. It might take some time to load. Good luck!

do you commit to place MP3's onto a Cd as Audio track or as an MP3. Which ever you make the main of NERO is super for this , on the grounds which you make the main of the two determination. in case you place MP3's onto a CD as recommendation then optimum DVD game enthusiasts and a few motorcar and residing house sterio's can play those, The bonus being you could desire to in extreme-high quality difficulty some hundred on one Cd particularly than approximately 14-20 as Audio.

It depends on what program your music library is stored in. For instance , if you use Windows Media Player 10, you open program, click on library , on the drop down menu click "add to burn list" . You have to have a cd burner to do this. And once your list is complete , your can arrange as you see fit with provided tools. Just make sure you have a cd-r disc in your cd burner, then click on BURN tab , click on burn once you satisfied with the set-up. Every program is different, you might have to do a little research for the best results, and you will waste fewer cds. Good luck.

If both computers have an ethernet connector, you can use a cheap "crossover" cable to connect both. Copying your data will be very fast.
