My 8 year old had a fit last night and I grounded him for the day. I hate to do that because it grounds me also but I had no choice. Now I have commitments for the day and don't know what I should do about it. Leaving my child with a relative for the day is more like a reward than a punishment. Do I have to change my plans too?

Get that wretched old lady down the street to baby sit him. Don't get teenage baby- sitters. They are too fun unless they are studying for an exam and watching the kid at the same time.
