Skating in general isn't illegal. It's just that skating in some certain public places is illegal. I used to work at a store, and we would have kids who skated on our sidewalk. They nearly killed some of our elderly customers. That's why it's illegal in some places. Because you could run over people who are just walking around.

It is illegal to skate someplaces, like sidewalks in certain towns, etc. It depends on the city.
If you look hard enough you can find places to skate that wont get you into any trouble.

Being a skater isn't illegal in itself. Skating on some public property is.

some bussinesses don't allow skate boarding on their property or sidewalks, but most areas have a skate park these days, so no need to worry....you can find plenty of places to skateboard
