This is difficult to answer. Is there a galaxy destroyed everytime I clean my fingernails?

I don't feel we have a good measure of what a galaxy is, our galaxy seems huge, yet we know very little about the boundaries (i.e. what if there were another galaxy right next to ours that we could not reach, like we were different slices of bread, intimately close, yet forever separated)

6...just kidding. There's no way to determine that since we don't even know for sure how big the universe is. Chances are though that there aren't any new galaxies being created. There are instances thought, where bigger galaxies are eating littler ones. My personal theory is that eventually one galaxy will win and suck everything else into it.

there is no definite answer because it depends on how many galaxies there are in the first place. And since we dont know the exact number of galaxies, we dont know the number of galaxies created and destroyed. but we do know the ratio. (1:100000000000000000000000) [23 zeros) of the total number of galaxies are being created and destroyed at anypoint of time.
