For one thing, DirecTV is more expensive than Dish is.

I recently got Dish. Dish TV has more programming for less costs a month, with better service. That is just my personal opinion. With Direct TV the same programming I have would of costs me almost an extra $15/mo.

direct tv owns dish network now so very little difference. dish is a little cheaper with less channels.

The former is a viable option currently.
The latter isn't quiet DONE yet.
Dtv is comparative cheaper.
DTH will not be.
