Hey there! Nice question.. I've noticed that you can see the maker of the watch under the 12 o'clock mark & just above the 6 o'clock mark you can see the jewels or where "insides" of the watch are made. It just makes for a more informative & clear message of the watch they are trying to sell. Hope this helps. Plus, Have you noticed that this way the watch smiles? And of course the logo/brand shows properly :)

It is in the form of a smile and potentional consumers unconsciously notice it. Perhaps a better question would be, "Why do all digital clock displays say 12:08?"

because the pictures of the watches were always taken at 10.10 a.m/p.m
