CO2 + H2O <==> H2CO3 (weak acid)

2 reactions occur:
H2CO3 (aq) + NaOH (aq) ---> Na2CO3 (aq) + H2O (l)
H2CO3 (aq) + NaOH (aq) ---> NaHCO3 (aq) + H2O (l)

carbon di oxide dissolves to form sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) ,and since it is in water,it forms sodium bicarbonate(NaHCO3)
