Its not just Texas...there are alot of states that don't enforce the child support orders. I have been dealing with child support enforcement for 10 years..and have managed to collect a whopping $377. I think if they go more than 3 months without paying support...they should go to jail. Its funny how men(and women) can pay for stupid sh!t..then complain they dont have enuff money to support their child. I hope CSE helps you out. GOODLUCK!

the state of Arkansas is the same way. My ex owes over $26,000 in back child support, and hasnt paid a dime in years. We keep going to court, they keep telling him to pay and he keeps ignoring it. Call the prosecuters office if there is an order and he is ignoring it. I really do wish you the best of luck!!!!!

It may depend on who's working your case. Make contact, to ensure they have the proper documents, and advise them that you're not receiving payment. That should take care of things for you. Dont let it rest til you receive satisfaction. It should be going directly to the court, via the court order. If nothing seems to work, seek the advise of an attny. Be sure that he hasnt left his job. Also keep in mind that his tax filing can also be affected!
Be sure to retain his social security #. You may need it down the road!

this is a very good question. I'm in California, and my ex owes me child support and spousal support, and I havn't collected one penny! Oh, child support goes after him, but when he discovers that they are on his trail, he quits his job. Now, he's working under the table, and remains untouchable. I wish I could answer your question, but I have the same problem, and can understand your frustration. And these men have the nerve to call themselves fathers! I'm mother, father, friend, taxi driver, tutor, nurse, referee, chief cook and bottle washer, and nurturer to MY children, all he is in my opinion is a sperm donor!

I worked as Child Support Investigator ..... if there is a vaild child support order and you know where your ex is employed they should be able to garnish his pay by issuing an income withholding order.
