I was listening to my songs on my iPod while it was hooked up to the computer and it was working just fine. The songs were all there and everything. Then, when I disconnected it and took it to work, the songs were all gone! The pictures were still there, but the songs were all gone. I didnt' delete any of the songs, and now I don't know what happened to them. Can I get them back?

you have to transfer the songs from your library to your ipod. so make sure that they were transferred over. you don't have to shut down. you click on the button disconnect ipod in itunes. also you may have corrupted files so if they were once there and were deleted when itunes updates your ipod it will delete the corrupted file.

they are lost if you disconnect without shutting down that will happen. You have to shut down your computer then disconnect.
