It can vary. It depends on the organizing body of the competition. The world cup is run by FIFA and lets the fields vary from, I think, like 100 to 110 yards long and something like 65 to 75 feet wide. So the different stadiums in Germany can and do have slightly different sized fields that the teams are playing on now at the world cup. The national leagues have their own size variations. So England's Premier League allows for bigger fields then the games held as part of the Champions League (which is a competition between the best clubs in Europe). So sometimes an English team that plays on a big field has to redraw the lines smaller when they host a game in the Champions League.

FIFA says that pro and international matches be "around" a certain size, though any field can be considered legal as long as it is a rectangle. In the US it is 120 yards (a football field is 120 yards long because the endzones are included) and MLS games are played on this model.
