It seems like you can't get over it in your heart. You need to stop feeling guilty about it and move on. Tell yourself that, "I can do better next time, I'll set a more realistic target for me and my team."
Good for you when you have such a friend who has got so much hope in you. For now you can appologise for the disappointment you've caused but give a solution to the situation too. I'm sure you have learned your lesson and next time, yea you'll do better. So worry not. What is most important is that you pick yourself up when you fall. =)

If you have disappointed someone it is upto them to decide how you are to make it up to them...which means it is also upto them to decide when you have. You can not make them recover...but I will tell you this - DON"T DO IT AGAIN!

IT JUST GOES AWAY WITH TIME.BECAUSE WHEN I DO THINGS I PUT MY ALL INTO IT .ALSO I TRY NOT TO DO THINGS TO HURT ANYONE.SO IF MY BEST DISAPPOINTS ANY ONE THEN THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO. BUT SOMETIMES WHEN I TALK IT OVER WITH THE PERSON THEN I FEEL BETTER.
