Vincent Price did a few good ones.
There was one that haunts me still today. He was an actor or playrite or something like that. He decided that he was going to get back at all the critics that gave him bad reviews.
One by one he learned what each of them would hate and made their last moments their worst nightmares before killing them.
One in particular was this one critic who loved his dogs. Vincent Price made him think he was on 'this is your life' and made him his favorite meal... he thought! Psych! It was his dogs! He was force fed until he died! Terrible!

Wolf Creek, a true story made in Australia, it starts slow but hang in there it really picks up and the frightening part is it could happen.
Wrong Turn, another could happen story.
Deliverance, an older one but still viable today.
The Entity, based on a true story, another older one.
American Haunting, based on the true story of the Bell Witch where it is the only documented case of a ghost killing a person.
The Other, Nicole Kidman, directed by Tom Cruise, just before they split.
The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre or the original The Hills have Eyes and the new remake.
Bastard Out Of Carolina.

The Omen is a great horror movie. It had a great acting. Chilling sound track. A story line that alone that sends chills down ones spine. This movie had a combination of all the factors need to create a scary movie. And of course one cant forget some very brutal scenes. Soundtrack, Storyline, graphic scenes...... Omen tops the scary movie list.

The Exorcist was the scariest movie at the time it was released.....things like that were basically unheard of!! I always get freaked out by the crab walk scene down the stairs!!! It isn't that scary now because we are used to more horriffic scenes. Sorry but that is my vote.

I would say the shining was pretty good. I also liked Copycat. Hostel and the Saw movies were entertaining, don't know if I would categorize them as the scariest, maybe the goriest.

Easy it is "The Hills Have Eyes". That movie was better than Saw one and two. It is a fiction movie but they made it realistic like it could actually happen you know. If you haven't seen it you need to
