Pregnant or bulimic. Did she just have a feast? She might be trying to throw it up to lose weight. Keep an eye on her, ask her point blank of your suspicions, then if she doesn't comply. Take it to your parents! Good luck, you are a good sis!

Talk to her, let her know you heard her vomiting and that you are concerned for her. Let her know you are there for her and that you want to know what is going on. She could be pregnant, but then again she could have bulimia (binge/purging) or a similar disorder. She also could be reacting to a great deal of stress in her life but not talking about it and instead internalizing it, in which case the stomach is taking on the stress. She could instead be experiencing an ulcer. If she ate something that did not agree with her, her body could have been reacting to that "bad" food. Or, migraines can cause people to vomit. Just hearing her vomit is not enough to decide exactly why this is occurring. Encourage her to talk to her doctor. Be aware of her actions and when/if she vomits again. If you see a pattern, you have a greater chance of helping her and preventing her from harm. You are wise to have concerns, as sometimes people die from vomiting depending upon what is causing them to do so. More than the stomach and esophagus is affected; the heart (trauma), teeth (eroded enamel from stomach acid), lungs (from sucking in a bit of vomit), and the body as a whole are compromised.
Do NOT promise her you will keep the vomiting a secret, as that is the wrong thing to do. Offer to be there with and for her when she talks about it to someone else if it does turn out to be bulimia, pregnancy or another situation in which she is afraid to talk about it.

I don;t know how old your sister is or what is her general health but some of things may be: pregnancy, food poisoning, extreme tension, allergy etc. Yiou did not state how often she throws up or any of the other info necessary to make the list of things to look for smaller. You moght what to check with her doctor.

Is she a teen or preteen. Is she extremely skinny, or a tad on the skinny side. If so, she may be doing to become skinnier. A stood showed that atleast 50% of teens do it. Your sister may be one of them.

Let her know what you heard and ask her about it, if she tries to deny it there may be something wrong...
pregnancy? bulemic? Above all, don't jump to conclusions before you ask her. Let her tell YOU what is wrong. If she still exhibits this behavior and denies it, you may want to ask your parents for advice or an adult that you trust. Please don't embarass her or make her feel stupid. Let her know you love her and want to help her, but remember if something is wrong, not telling someone about it WON'T help her (or you).

talk to her. find out the details. if you8 talk to her and she doesn't get help with in a reasonable amount of time, go to your parents. if she true;y is belemic, this could be very harmful to her, if not deadly and she may not be aware of the concequences.

So maybe she is bulimic. Ask her about it, tell her you know, and if she does not change, tell your parents, and get them invilved. It is a very dangerous disorder, and kills people, so you should act quickly.
