john terry.he is a great defender he can read the game so well.
he is also good in the oppostion box at set pieces.i think he should be the england captain instead of beckham.terry has better leadership skills i mean look at him at chelsea.he is so good at organising the back line when needed to

Lionel Messi of Argentina. he is a fantastic player, still young (19 during wc), he can play as forward (attack) or as midfield player. he is talented. he's won spanish league, european champions league as a barcelona player.
rooney of england. he is young (20), has ability, never give up, tries a lot, sacrifies for the team, fast, creative, can play as forward or midfield. phisically strong.

After their opening two performances it has to be one of the Argentinians, either Riquelme or Tevez. I think that the only hope any other nation has of winning the tournament now is that they have peaked too soon.
