ur getting me all wrong. I was thinking of putting some money on Italy v USA and you can put money on to see how many points each team will recieve. In betting terms points are given for a yellow card. Am i making sense? If not go on to www.betfair.com hopefully this will make it better.
thanks for ur answers anyway.

The only points awardeed for yellow cards (cautions) are disciplinary points which are dependent on Football association rules. Usually 3 disciplinary points for a yellow and 5 for a red. Obviously a red card rules a player out of following league games. and mostly 15 disciplinary (5 yellow cards) would also get the player a one match ban.

I did not see the modified question before I answered. Some soccer pools give 1 point for each yellow card.

You do not receive points for a yellow card.

A yellow card is a formal caution for offenses like unsporting behaviour, hard fouls, delaying the start of play ,entering the field of play without permission.

A player who receives two yellow cards received an automatic red card and is ejected from the match.

During the World Cup a second yellow card in the tournament results in a suspension of the next match as well.

theres not a points system for cards. you get a yellow for a minor foul, two yellow card offences means you get a red. if you commit a major foul it is a straight red. in the world cup if you get two yellow cards or a red card i think you miss a game.

Think that was about the worst, no sense of humour whatsoever. Btw, the ref was Dougie Smith, he works beside me and when he came to work on Monday everyone was holding up their yellow job cards, he still wasn't amused.
