Forgiveness vs Permission?

Which is easier to get?

That makes me laugh because that is one my brother's favorite sayings, that it is easier to get forgiveness than permission. But in MY opinion you should ask permission, because if you don't ask first then you may have to ask for forgiveness not only for what you did without permission, but also for forgiveness for not asking.in the first place.

Example: If someone wanted to steal you avatar, they would probably just take it and use it and never ask, and hope you would forgive them later!

Permission is easier to get because it is very hard to forgive.Sometimes you want to forgive but the fact that you can remember what has been done to you for a long time makes it hard to forgive. You may give permission at any time since you trust that whoever it is will do the right thing.

Forgiveness. I think we as human want to forgive and let our hearts mend whatever the mistake. Permission is so easily stopped with a simple "no", then once someone says no there is really no forgiveness if someone else does it anyway.
Forgiveness is necessary for sanity and being a better person, permission is simply asking someone for the okay to do something you probably know you shouldn't.

it depends on the severity of the "crime." I find that asking permission is the best way to go overall. it may be easy to get forgiveness the first time, but that person is going to remember that you didn't ask for permission and will not likely forgive you twice.
