Most workers are very much pleased to contribute to the decisions made at their job place. In your opinion, is it good or not? Various ideas surely enlighten debates. They are the sources of happiness and freshness in a community but this is not always the case. Ideas are not all ok. Some are evil. They are the cause of evil actions but freedom in principle is asked to do nothing about them. It thus takes no prevention. It acts against them only when a crime is committed.
I hope there is a preventive measure to reduce their disadvantages while benefiting from their advantages. I would like to hear your idea.

Participation of the workers in the decision making of the private industries is accepted as a healthy practise even in Capitalistic economy. In governance the participation through consultative committees is in practise in many developed as well as developing countries.

The sharing of ideas is very good and profitable to companies because it can resolve problems in a more cost effective manner and produce new concepts for products or production.

I have said this many times, people have lost the ability to think for themselves. They play follow the leader and are taught as children to "Do as your told and not ask questions!" This has stifled creativity.

If you have a room full of executives and they all have the same degree, what are the chances of any one of these executives coming up with an original idea independently that would benefit the company? I would think the percent would be low!!!

You have ask a very valid question, and I hope that you get more answers to your question.

It's what democracy is all about - everyone should have a say and then take a vote on it; otherwise the job place would be a dictatorship! Here in the UK there is a scheme called investors in people IIP [ref 1]here workers can do that and express their views on say issues such as their contribution to the decision making process and how they are valued in the organisation. This is particularly valid in the public sector.

Social psychologists have shown in all kinds of researches over the decades, the extent to which front-line workers are literally THE experts in their areas of employment - they KNOW the tricks of their respective trades in making and saving money.

I have a self-improvement book in my library, the author calls
'Industrial Engineering'. Essentially, what the author teaches (forms and all), is how any individual can provide a service to companies to maximise profits. And would you know, the forms the author provides are to be completed by questioning the WORKERS. After all, they have identical interests as the company - MORE MONEY.

They're only too happy to give their opinions to achieve this common goal.

This is the age of the spirit of synthesis. Allowing workers to participate in the decision-making process therefore, is in harmony with this energy, and by implication, in harmony with universal or natural law.

You're on the correct path when you act as such.

Peace,
Sharing

People would like to know that they have a say in matters that are important to them. I believe that this is a good way in which to make them feel a bit more empowered than they previously were.

As always, you need to take the good with the bad, but in circumstances like this, you may be surprised as to how much good can come from opening up decision making to the wider company.

All it takes is one bad decision to miss a valuable opportunity; or one good one to deal with a lot of issues plaguing the facility.

I have always heard that the best superviso (or whatever) is one who you never hear from. That means that he/she has surrounded themselves with quality people, listen to their ideas, work through problems and when necessary allow them to work out logistics. In a perfect world, we should all be like that. But you must have fresh ideas. I had a guy that worked for me in a hospital once. He never gave me any trouble, was never late, rarely absent and always productive. I asked him what he was working there for. He told me, "To make you look good. " The best employee I ever had. I would have fired 5 just to have 2 more like him. Employees have to know that they are important and have to share on the success.
