Ok most of u think he's great, but do u think it's fair 2 his teammates 2 bring him w/ even tho he's injured? Wat if there r other good players, but now they can't *** 2 the WC b/c there's a place reserved 4 him? England vs. TNT, he came on in the 2nd half and didn't make much of an impact. Chelsea vs. Manchester United, did u c how he fouled John Terry? Now u don't play @ Chelsea's home ground & foul their captain, then expect Chelsea's players 2 leave u alone, do u? That's why it's his own fault he had a broken 'metatarsal'

When Wayne Rooney does wat Michael Owen did in the WC then mayb i'll give him a chance, but rite now he's just overhyped by the media. He's this great "phenomenon", is he? there are countless players who have been called soccer's new phenomenon and they have done way more that Rooney ever has. He's not even listening to his doctors, who said he should only start playing towards the beginning of July, but now that he's playing it's only going to put more strain on his foot.

See, Wayne Rooney is a one of a kind talent.Soccer is a game meant for talented individuals forming up teams in search of success.Soccer isn't a game where you're automatically guaranteed a place just cos you look pretty.Sure he isn't handsome like Becks, but he has the skill.Ronaldinho isn't the hottest guy alive, but no one's doubting his skill. So why should we treat Rooney any differently?

Wayne Rooney is a football phenom. He was introduced to the world at 16 years old by Everton and scored his first Premiership Goal in a 10 minute substitution role.
He was key to Everton's revival in the 02-03 campaign.
He was recognized as the best young talent of his day and at 17 became the youngest player to play on England's International Team.
Picked up by Manchester United, he continues to not only make great chances, but to create chances for team mates. Because of his skill, he attracts opposing defenders to him which frees up his team-mates. even marked closely, he still manages to score goals and set up strikes which makes him a total team player. Because of this, every time he is on the pitch he makes his team that much better. At only 21, he still has plenty of seasons left and his skill only improves.
Too bad he is not on my team: Chelsea!!

You cant deny he is a world class footballer, but like you I also think he is a bit over hyped and ugly, but maybe im just jealous because Scotland have no one anywhere near as good as Rooney or Gerrard,Lampard,J Cole,Owen and the list goes on.

Because he is a very talented young exciting ENGLISH player.

Even at a young age he has the strength and fitness levels required in the Premiership. His movement, passing and vision is tremendous for a person of his age and his shooting speaks for itself.

He is a proven big-game player and his hunger and enthusiasm for the game is more than apparent in every game he plays.

he's really a fantastic football player in England. even the team can't go on well without him. don't think about him through his appearance. coz he is using his feet to play football not using his face!
