Absolutely not! They love football, but it is American footbale play by hand! 99% of American do not care soccer. I tried to watch Mexico against Angola yesterday and only Spanish channel show this match. During that period of time, three other sport channels were showing other sport!

How do they expect their team would advance to next round this year? US team did a very good job in 2002 World Cup. This should increase the popularity of this sport in the US. But, obviously, it is not.

None of the newspapers in the US shows the World Cup' s matches schedule. No analysis has been drawn up.

US seems to enjoy sports that other countries do not play. The biggest sport in the world, Soccer, has been intentinally igonored!

I have never seen a game in person or on TV
I have never seen a schedule
I can only name 1 team in the league -that's only because ESPN made such a big deal about Freddie Adou's age.
I have no Idea when their season is.
However -I am a huge sports fan-I am a Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder, I've attended 6 Phillies baseball games so far this season- I'm going to 3 more next week.
Philly is sports ----just not soccer.

It is still a very young league and it is going to take a generation or two before it even competes with the other prime time sports in the USA. The sport is growing in the states and with the great exposure of coverage from other foreign leagues, its only a matter of time before people will give the sport a chance. Once you establish people to follow the sport, it will entice them to support the MLS and push on. Remember a sport in any country is part of that country's culture....it takes time to change that.

No, it is not. And rightfully so. When you can play a sport for 90 minutes and end up with a 0-0 tie... I can't think of anything more boring in the world. It's the same with hockey, but at least there you get to see some bitchin fights.
