Do it yourself. A gallon contains 4 quarts. Each quart contains 2 pints. Each pint contains 2 cups. Each cup contains 12 tablespoons. Use a small kitchen scale to measure the weight of 3 tablespoons and multiply that weight by 4 X 2 X 2 X 4.

No, water is heavier than vegetable oil. You would have observed oil floating over water. I hope you would have studied or known about density. Density is the ratio between mass per unit volume. ( pounds / gallon). It will differ as the mass of water and heavy oil is different for the same volume.

I think if you want an acurate answer you need to specify what kind of vegetable oil. A blended oil or one from a specific vegetable.

Use the density of the oil and convert from liters to grams (the container should have the liter amount). If you don't know the density, you could just stick it on a scale.
