The best way I can describe the sensation of getting a tattoo is that it feels like a "mild scratching discomfort". There's no actual pain, and even the "discomfort" is...let's see if I can explain this...it's a GOOD discomfort.
Bony areas of the body tend to be a little more uncomfortable for tattoos then say the thigh or upper arm. I have a tattoo on each inner forearm just above the wrist. The closer to the wrist you go during the tattoo process, the more uncomfortable it was, but never did I experience pain. It wasn't even enough discomfort to make me say, "Hey, hold up a minute, let's take a break."
Hope that helps!

It's probably going to really hurt. One of my tattoos is across the top of my foot, and it was majorly painful. Make sure the design you pick out or create is something you love, because it will be with you for a very long time. I got my first tattoo in 1984, I now have six. I have never regretted any of them. As a matter of fact I am planning my next one. That is something else that you probably need to realize. They are very addictive. Very few people stop at one. As far, as regretting it when I'm 80. Honestly, if I'm still alive at 80, I doubt seriously that my tattoos will be that big of an issue. I'll probably be more concerned with waking up and breathing each day.

Well when I had my arms done they felt like a constant bee sting. If you have ever been stung by a bee think of that over and over again. My legs when those were done felt like someone taking a sharp knife and just slowly slicing away at my leg.It all depends where you get it really the wrist i think would feel just like a constant bee sting. But females are always better at tattoos and it doesnt hurt them as much for some reason.I didnt say ouch once for any of them but the legs I will tell you I did sweat alot lmao

My tattoo artist friend says that wherever there is a fleshy place is the least painful. But over bone, that's a little bit harder. And don't forget - Any tat that is exposed to sun will need to be re-done more frequently than those which are not.

Ohhhh boy. Most employers have you wear long sleeves so not to show any tatoos so just remember your tatooing of the wrist can actually have an impact on your jobs later.

Stick needles in your wrist, that'll give you a pretty good idea. I love tattoos!

For me, it felt like a kitten scratching my wrist.
It's not bad at all. You'll be surprised how it doesn't really hurt at all. The itching is the worst. That happens while it is healing.
