I planted a few dried seed from an existing Holly Hauk and my goodness, It's 10 ft. tall.I'm starting to wonder if I should keep my eye out for Jack and the bean stalk?

Hollyhocks grow very tall. In my previous house I planted them along my front porch against the porch rail. They grew to the top
of the house. I love them becase my mom always grew them.
In the fall tho you need to cut the stalks back or pull them up and
they are a problem, or were for me because I didn't have any place to put the stalks & trash service wouldn't take them. My brother finally took them to his farm & burned them. The seeds that fall will produce many new plants each spring.

They get a flower that looks like a tutu (ballet). The grow about five to six feet tall.
