Well, the first step is to identify where it happened. Was it a state case or federal? What state / district? Was it appealed? Do you have a formal citation for the case? Or even a year?

There are many legal database out there (findlaw.com being one of the more useful). But if you don't know what jurisdiction the case was, it's going to be impossible to find.
