The media is only as liberal as the conservative corporation let them be.

All of the news outlets you mentioned are extremely conservative. The main difference between conservative Fox and "liberal" CNN is that when the U.S. is losing a war, CNN will criticise it. Fox will still support it, even when the U.S is losing. But both outlets are still conservative. They both say it's honorable to invade someone's country and change their government as long as "we" are winning.
They are both conservative because they both believe in conserving the U.S.'s dominance. They just have different strategies for their support. One believes in unconditional support, the other believes in success based support. But that doesn't make CNN "liberal".
There needs to be a news outlet that goes outside your cliche liberal and conservative labels. There is not one such station that plays regularly on any American station. That's why the person who asked this question has such a limited view of the political spectrum. They only see this tiny liberal-conservative specrum where any slight variation is an extreme difference. Not only should a conservative station support everything the U.S. does, but it should do so unconditionally, or else it is "liberal".

All of the news has some bias toward one side or the other. The best way to get "balanced" news coverage is to watch several different channels so you get several different viewpoints. The only ones I refuse to watch or listen to are Keith Olbermann and Rush Limbaugh. I have never found that either has anything relevant to say. They just bash the opposition. In my opinion, the most balanced is Hannity and Combs because they present both sides of an issue and allow everyone to have a say.

As far as I know, no member of CBS,ABC,NBC or CNN has ever gone on to become a democratic press secretary.
It's not really as apparent as you think that all of those stations are liberally biased. I remember them clamoring over one another to cover Monica Lewinsky. Maybe if every news station except for the state-run one reports bad news, there really is bad news.

I don't believe in the "liberal media" conspiracy theory that right continues to pursue. It is unhealthy to subject yourselves to conspiracy theories, you become too paranoid of everyone and everything and then you have trouble finding a medium in society. Soon you will have to tin foil your apartment walls in order to block out the liberal media satellites trying to read your thoughts and withdraw yourself from the world for fear of liberals.
Seriously, one real comment I can make on the liberal media bias is that EVERY major mainstream media outlet was praising the Iraq War part II. Sensationalism was on every channel as we dropped bomb after bomb on Saddam's palaces. The media was literally having an orgy of fun with watching Iraq get bombed to Hell. They cheered the war, they praised Bush, noone even asked why. On the other hand, every REAL liberal media outlet did the opposite. When the wind changed and Iraq started going to **** the mainstream media turned on you.
The liberal stations are owned by people that can put on a front one way and act another. They have that power. Think about that when you are on you're SBC/Yahoo/AT&T/Adobe answer's page. Or when you click on you afternoon ABC/Disney/ESPN/Miramax game of the week. Or the CBS/Viacom/Proctor & Gamble/UPN/Paramount/MTV movie of the week. Or when you log into you AOL/TIME/Warner/TNT/New Line/Netscape/Amazon/Mapquest/Winamp/Sports Illustrated email account.
If you really believe in this "liberal" bias, I would like to see you boycott these "liberal" companies.

I have a very bad feeling about the course our nation is headed in if these are the best arguments republicans can produce to prove something that does not exist (i.e. a liberal mainstream media.) Yet, with every fiber in your being you will see bogeyman wherever your republican leaders and pundits point their bony fingers and you will whip yourself into a fury of hate and intolerance. It's really pitiful that thinking with your gut instead of your brain is considered a virtue.
In this day and age you can be a good American and stand up for the Constitution or you can be a good republican, but you can't be both. I tire of this attitude of "screw everyone but me" that permeates whats left of your diseased brains. Republicans have done nothing in their whole history that promoted the "common good." All you have is your fear and your greed and I would pity you if you hadn't screwed this country up so bad I don't know if we can recover.

It seems to me that both Liberals and Conservatives are fuming about everything! Why can't we just have the truth in situations presented without the color of political perspective, so that people can make more objective assessments? Is there anything wrong with naked truth and honesty? If we were all honest and truth seeking, we would support what is right, practical, and forthcoming...

Its awful how liberals and Anti-ameriacans say "OH YOU JUST WATCH TOO MUCH OF FOX!!" even though America's media is mostly liberal. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and Google, the internet giant, is even biased to the leftist side.
But Then theres Fox news out there and everyone is up in arms about it.

You must understand that most of these networks headquarters are located in liberal states and operated by union employees. Therefore, they continue to have left wing liberal attitudes about all topics. Typical of their species, they are unable to report facts, but spew mistruths and biased opinions in order to influence their ignorant constituency.

This is SUCH BULLS_IT! ALL the networks you named are owned by big, corrupt corporations and monitered by clear channel. They're all the same, FOX is just the really dumbed down, flashy drama queen among them. None is free to say a truely point of veiw or run a storey exposing this administration or a big corporation.
