Probably never. Two main reasons why:
1. People have been predicting the end of the world... for a very long time. And, well, it hasn't happened yet, even when in the olden days they were given "all of the signs."
2. People usually get "the signs" from Revelations. Revelations has nothing to do with the end of the world. It is written in a symbolic code so it could be sent to the Christians. If it was intercepted, the Romans would have no idea what it was talking about. It was written at a time that Christians were persecuted in Rome. Fin.

It will never come to an end. What exists will continue to exist and what does not exist will never come into existence. It is an axiomatic Truth which does not require any supporting evidence. The world will change in forms so much so that it may not be habitable for living beings, but again in course of time it will evolve with living creatures. The cosmic framework of time and space is so vast that we can hardly conceive of. You must have read Carl Sagan's ' Cosmos' and Stephen Hawking's 'Brief History of Time' and also by another author 'Tao of Physics'. It must have enlarged your views on the origin and end of the Universe.

I don't really think we can figure out a definite answer to that question. Although in the Bible, especially in Revelations, it talks about what the end of the world will be like...I don't necessarily think it can be predicted by people. I believe that right now, we are doing things that are harmful for the planet(pollution, war, wasting resources etc..) that are probably slowly killing us off...also, there is the issue of overpopulation, which is causing starvation, disease, and tons of other problems. So I guess to answer your question..the world will end when we destroy it.

In an estimated 2 billion years, when the Milky Way galaxy and the Andromeda galaxy colide. Science predicts we are on a collision course with this neighboring galaxy. When that time comes the place we now call earth will have a definite ending.

This world will end in a nuclear holocast. I'm sure they'll be small nuclear wars before the big one. Yet if the USA gets involved in the small nuclear wars, it could trigger a domino effect, like a nuclear bomb chain reaction, and all the nuclear countries in panic light up the world, then smother it will one huge nuclear cloud. Right now, we are far from something like this happening, but who knows what will happen in a 100 years?
