I think that there is definitely a possiblity that you are. If you had your period on May 13th, then ovulated/conceived approximately 12-14 days later that would put the date at the 25th or 27th, then implantation occurs 4-7 days after that which can cause light spotting...that would have happened around the 29th thru the 31st or so...after implantation occurs, it takes about 7-10 days for your HCG/pregnancy levels to be accurately read. So you should be able to test the DAY OF YOUR MISSED PERIOD, with accurate results. If it is still negative, retest in 2 or 3 days, if it is still negative, and you still haven't gotten your period, get to your OBGYNE!

You should wait at least another two weeks, even though I know this is going to drive you crazy given that you are trying to get pregnant. After two more weeks, if you period still hasn't come, make an appointment with your gynecologist to have another test done. Your doctor should give you a thorough exam (internal as well as blood tests) to make sure nothing is wrong, as well. You could also take a home pregnancy test then but should note that they are not as accurate as those given in your gynecologist's office. They may not pick up the subtle nuances and changes in your hormone levels, especially right after your period.
However, since you are trying to get pregnant, you must know that the more anxious you are about it, the more likely your hormone levels can be affected by the stress. Stress alters the hormonal balance in your body, and consequently, the more stress you have, the more likely it will affect the regularity of your periods and your ovulatory cycles. In fact, too much stress can delay your periods from coming altogether, so try to relax. I know this is hard, but you have to try not to think about it and live your life normally. I have read that women who have persistently tried to get pregnant (through outside interventions, like IVF) sometimes don't get pregnant. Why? Because they are really stressed out. When they stop treatments and stop worrying about it, have a normal sex life without the urgency of pregnancy, bingo! They get pregnant. Their bodies relaxed. Have fun! Enjoy your partner and just be together, without worrying about whether or not you will get pregnant this time! It works.

Blood tests can detect such an incredibly small ammount of hormone, i would assume that it was probably a correct reading. ALTHOUGH if you spotted those two days and then went directly to the doctor for blood work it's possible that the egg had only just implanted itself in your unterine lining, (thus the spotting), and there wasnt enough hormone to detect. If You're really wondering, have them do another blood test. By now it would certainly be able to read something.

no. Urine tests can take a while to show the pregnancy hormone, but blood tests can detect it in just a day or two
