It works fine after i install it but when i have to re-start the computer for any reason i am taken to a prompt screen telling me that my computer configuration has been changed and it gives me several options. one is to go into Windows in safe mode but lose my previous configuration, or it tells me to try to resart Windows normally or to try to go to the last correct configuration If i go to safe mode i lose my configuration and if i try to restart Windows or find the last correct configuration i am taken back to the prompt window that i started off with.
I followed the instructions on the book and on the driver correctly and it keeps doing this. At every re-start i have to put the original keyboard and mouse back on and re-install the driver and the wireless units and then remove the old units and then wireless works fine until the next start-up. Can anyone help me?

G'day,

A few things come in minds.
1. Try to download the latest driver/software for your wireless set from the manufacturer's website. Make sure you uninstall the old driver/software before installing the new one.
If the previous suggestion does not work there are 2 possibilities as follows:
2a. You may have a corrupted Operating System (I assume you are using Windows XP). You may need to reformat your HDD and reinstall your operating system from scratch. Please refer to some answers in Yahoo Answers about reformatting HDD and make sure you back up your data files before doing so. This is gonna be a major work if you want to take this way
2b. Pls dun get offended, but you might buy a cheap brand wireless set. I helped a few of my clients installing cheap/unknown wireless set that they bought themselves and it gives me alot of problems. Once I suggest them to exchange with well-known brands wireless set (eg. Microsoft or Logitech), the hardware works perfectly without any problems. So you may want to try this option first before reformatting HDD.

Hope this helps. Good Luck :)

Dear friend don't worry about that see there is nothing problem about the wireless mouse and keyboard. i think you have some problem with the ram because even i was having the same problem so i just change the ram everything is running fine. just try changing Ur ram. If your motherboard is Intel 1010 then 1st reinstall OS and then install Sp2 (winxp) and the install the drivers. see if u do this then u might solve Ur problem.

Click on control panel, click on system, click on hardware configuration, find keyboard and mouse area delete them.
remove ALL software for both the new wireless and the old mouse. Restart windows making sure the new one is plugged in
load software for them.
Your problem sounds like you have drivers for the old MOUSE keyboard . Conflicting with the New ones. Remove all of them and reload.

Are the batteries in the correct way. Try to resync it one more time. Still not working... restart your computer. Still not working it may be a bad mouse, but I doubt it. If it is a crappy Microsoft product then the mouse often have terrible range make sure the mouse is close to the receiver. Good Luck.
