I am baffled this pen pal friend I fell out with
recently check in with me to say hello and see
if I was ok but hasn't answered my replies or
kept in touchsince then ,,what was the deal with
bothering me at all???

yes,,twice,, one was an old girlfriend who up and left after being together 1 and 1/2 years, she called 2 years later to "say hi", and the other was the OTHER girl friend who i dated after the first. we dated 3 years and after 5 years apart, got back together and now have been married almost 2 years. true fairy tail stuff........so my advice is go ahead and reply with a hello, you never know what may happen...........

In this fast paced crazy world alot of things can happen from one moment to the next.Maybe something happened to your pen pal or maybe they are just really busy.I would write them again and ask them this question and see if they are ok.

Money. When episodes seem unclear look at the bottom line it's usually money related. I've had old girlfriends contact me out of the blue because they needed financial security. Sad to say, our culture revolves around the green paper bills.

No, it's never happened to me, maybe this person has had another change of heart, or is just too lazy or inconsiderate to bother sending an answer.

No I've never had that happen. It just means your ex-friend still cares about you and is curious about you after so long. Maybe he/she wants to start communicating with you again.

sounds fishy. ask if there was something in particular that they are wanting to know. dig around a little to see why all of a sudden they are ckecking up on you. take care and best wishes.
