Striking a blow against the censorship of those who practive political correctness, Virginia is now offering citizens an auto license plate honoring ROBERT E. LEE. With luminaries as varied as Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and Ulysses S. Grant who extoled the virtues of General Lee and as leader, educator, patriot and citizen, can we hope this is the start of an honorable way to celebrate history? That is, history as it was, not history as seem through the prism of modern day elitists who seem to know nothing of slavery, honor and the natural progression of history and freedom. Thank you to the Commonwealth of Virginia for saying enough is enough! What do you think?

Alas, I don't live in Virginia! However, I share your sentiments that a man such as Lee SHOULD be honored, for the reasons you cite.
