Contraceptive pills are nothing but the hormonal pills, they alter the hormonal level in your body and altering the ovulation cycle. Balanced level of hormones are very essential for optimum body functioning. Pills can cause nausea, vomiting, altered mood, dry mouth, constipation, lethargy, dry vaginaitis, altered heart rate and blood pressure. But these side effects does not occur in all females, and become more prominent in in long term uses. consult your gynec before using.
other methods like inserting a copper T or some other device can cause infections or abnormal bleeding, if not used properly.
Latex condoms can cause allergic reactions and there are always chances of tearing or slipping of the condom. But 90 % it is safe to use. The only thing is that you have to use it properly and it should be a good one.
Vasectomy and tubectomy are the most safest way to prevent pregnancy, if in future you does not have any plans to have babies. Now a days reversal types of surgeries are also available.

all medications have side effects such as weight gain; depression; bleeding between periods that is just the pharmocological aspect; if you have a latex allergy you can go into anaphalactic shock with condoms or develop a rash, if you can wear latex gloves with out a reaction or rash then you do not have an allergy to latex. and with any contraception that is introduced into the vagina if not used as intended and not removed as directed you can develop toxic shock syndrom. Using any form of contraception is a sign of a responsible individual. You just need to know which is the right one for the individual.

most contraceptives do have side effects. It depends on which you chose. Some have good (Depo, Mirena) others have not so good. Even the ones with good can also have not so good, and vise-versa. Its best to talk to your Ob-Gyn to figure out which is best for you personally.

dont take contraceptive pills. instead condom is any day better and does not hurt a bit
