Development.
People who say the world is coming to an end are seriously stupid. The earth can take a hell of a lot more than what we're doing right now. Humans will just be the ones that'll be screwed.
But really the only things leading it towards destruction(for us) are all the pollution and umm...Bill O' Reilly.

This is the essence of life, for in order for there to be development, there has to be destruction. One thing has to end to make way for new creation. If nothing was destroyed, the world would be so full no-one would be able to move. Death is a part of life and the reason for creation. The moment something is created, it is headed for its destruction. The moment you are born, you begin your journey towards death.

Both. However, I prefer to use the word "Discardation" instead of "Destruction" and the word "Evolution" instead of "Development" . When you find new ways of living more appealing, you discard the old ways. If you look back in the history of mankind, you will find lot of the concepts discarded and were replaced with new ones. There may not be a clear cut line of discardation or destruction, because it is a gradual change - an evolving civilization.

Destruction by men to some extent, but then true destruction of just wicked people, and survivors of only righteous. Then there will be development on this earth for 1000 years, and then the earth will finally be restored to a paradise the way it was originally intended.

If we do not take care of the world we will eventually destroy it. We are developing it at an alarming rate which might be to our detriment.
