Or when you were a child,
and why.

I'm quite happy with my life because I have my health and my family. However I'm not happy with what is happening every day in the word- wars, poverty, pollution, murder and so on. I think childhood is the best and most treasured time of our lives because its all play and no worry. But as we get older we start to realise the realities and that life is not a pretty picture, far from it. I wish the world was a peaceful and happy place for all living things but its not and all we can do is try our best to improve it for future generations.

We shouldn't be happy with the way things are. Ever since World War 1 mankind has gone down to a deplorable state. No governments, religions, or other seemingly "save the world" groups will ever bring true peace and security to mankind. These conditions were for-told in the Bible. Look up 2Timothy 3:1-5 and see if those conditions are now prevalent in today's world. We will be truly happy when God's government, headed by his son Jesus, will restore true peace and contentment on this earth, as it was supposed to have been when it first started. When all oppression, wars, pressures, hatred and death are gone, then you will be truly happy. Living forever is a promise from God, and he does not lie or break his promises.

When I was a child I was fairly happy with the way things were in the world. It felt safe to go out and play without being attacked by a pervert (there was less about perverts in the media)

Men landed on the moon!!! I thought, we would all be on holiday on Venus soon.

As I grew up it felt cool. I could ride on my boyfriend's motorbike without a crash helmet, with the wind in my hair, doing a ton on a straight road near the sea. When I learned to drive, there were no speed cameras.

I heard about what Nelson Mandela was doing and I thought there would be no more racism.

I read about feminism and I called myself Ms. I thought by the time I raise my own daughters, sexism will be a thing of the past.

I could experiment with sexual encounters without fear of HIV (though there were still the risks of unplanned pregnancy and stds)

Now I'm a mom myself, and there is still racism and sexism. And there are still starving people in the world and there is still war.

So no, I am not happy with the way the world is....

But I try to do my bit by bringing my kids up to believe that the world can be a better place. And I'm happy with my little bit of the world.

I am Happy now because I dont think I knew more things when I was child. Being grown up gives You a lot of understandings and this includes goods and bads . I think when you are positive you may see the good things too. The world is full of Good and beautiful things. Try to search good around you.

I didn't know much about the world when I was a child, so I'd have to say now. There is so much hatred, greed & evil in this world right now, but if you look close enough you can still find the good underneath the heap of garbage. My personal world is great right now & I wouldn't change it even with the few lumps here & there.

Not particularly. The world used to be a much better place to raise your children and live. There is so much crime, war, and politics that keeps strife and discomfort in the "air". Maybe I should move to Montana or somewhere where I can actually sleep with my doors unlocked, that would be a nice feeling.

The Bible said that though we are in the world we are not of the world.

No. I am not happy the way the world is today.
