I loved The Scarlet Pimpernel. The story takes place during the French Revolution. It's about a mystery man who with accomplices risks life and limb rescuing the innocents caught up in the Reign of Terror in Paris.
I enjoyed the Willie Wonka movie version of Roald Dahl's book, and I love everything I've ever read by him, but I haven't read that particular one, so I can't comment on it specifically. His stories always have a unique point of view, and often a twist at the end.
A Wrinkle in Time I read so long ago that I can't remember anything about it. But if I'd really loved it, I think I'd remember more.
I think I read an excerpt of White Fang in one of my high school literature books. It's about a wolf pup and his adventures, first in the wild and then among humans.
I hope this helps a little.

Charlie and the Chocolate factory is a definite. White Fang is also a definite based on your criteria. Both are easy to understand and very good reading. A Wrinkle in time is good but could be confusing. I don't remember ever reading Scarlet Pimpernel. Don't watch the movies if this is for a school assignment! Movies ALWAYS leave stuff out, and a lot of times they put things in that are not in the book. After you have read the books and done whatever assignments are required then watch the movies. Very, very rarely are movies as good as the book.

Well I am going to base this solely on my opinions of the books and/or authors
First Roald Dahl writes about some crazy things but he is a really good author his books are fun so I would say yeah read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (besides if you have to go find the book yourself it would be very easy to get a copy of this one), unfortunately I have not read The Scarlet Pimpernel, sorry, but I did look it up and the story sounds rather interesting it might hard be to follow though, A Wrinkle in time, was really not my cup of tea I did not enjoy this book but that doesn't mean you won't, and well White Fang is an important piece of literature it is a true classic I would definitely say it should be one of the 3 books you pick. Good luck.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a great book, and fun to read. A Wrinkle in Time is the first in a series of books by Madeline L'Engle - it does a great job of explaining warps of space or transectoring. It is a wonderful story. Between Scarlet Pimpernel and White Fang, I'd probably pick White Fang because I know I enjoy Jack London's writing style, and I love dogs. My gut feeling is that the Scarlet Pimpernel would not be an easy read, but is probably a fascinating story.

There's a movie for White Fang and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Both are good... Scarlet Pimpernel is ok. A wrinkle in time is fascinating and I'd strongly recommend this one. A very sci fi book.

Scarlet Pimpernel by Orczy is a really interesting book about the French Revolution, a person called The Scarlet Pimpernal who helps the royal family escape out of France from the mob. It's about a very stuffy, boring English man who will get himself killed if his stuffy, and boring disguise is seen through.
A Wrinkle in time by Madelein L' Engle is a series of books that won The Newberry Medal for children's literature. It's about a girl searching for her father, a government physicist. With the help of a mysterious stranger she finds him in the fifth dimension. She quickly learns to expect the unexpected, and is in one adventure after another.
WHite Fang by Jack London is one of my favorite books. I don't like Call Of The Wild because it has a sad ending. That's why I like White Fang, because it doesn't. It follows White Fang from before his conception, through his life tormented by man, to his finding a man he learns to trust, and then to love.
I have never read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I've just seen the movie, which is not bad, just not a favorite.
