Democrats are so much better for not just this country but the world in general. Republicans are so busy trying to take away civil rights, amend the constitution, and invade countries that haven't done anything to us that they generally fail to see what needs or doesn't need to happen. Democrats seem to care more about ALL the people in the country not just the ones that severely change the economy. Democrats care about the environment not about the money that can come from exploiting the environment. All in all democrats are way better for the people and the earth than Republicans

I lean towards Democrats, given how far this country has slid to the bottom since President Bush stole the 2000 election. But there have been some good Republicans (Goldwater, even Nixon to a degree -- he created the EPA, and in some instances the first President Bush wasn't bad). But largely, I feel that Democrats look out for the common man while the GOP works to better corporate interests at the expense of peace and the environment.

Republicans are better for the overall interests of our country.
Democrats serve those who contribute the least to society. They will tell you how they stand up for the rights of the common man, yet they pick the most asinine things to stand up for. Just check out the ACLU- if that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does.
EDIT:
Story in the paper yesterday- The ACLU is at it again! Standing up for the basic rights of the common man!
Over what? Seems that Six Flags is making some of their employees cut their hair, because their styles don't fit in with wearing the Daffy Duck and other assorted costumes. The hair style? The guy in question has three foot long braids. WTF does this situation have to do with civil liberties?
Other than yet another chances for the A*sholes Cretins Liars and Uninformed to get into the papers, that is.

Democrats are better. They stand up for the rights of the common man- for real- not in the sarcastic manner that one of your fellow Doofus Discipline Neocons is suggesting. Where would the civil rights movement have gone without liberals and the ACLU? For elephants, you sure have selective memories.
Repugs start wars that they can't seem to end. How did attacking Iraq benefit society?

Ok, you history-forgetters! Dem. Woodrow Wilson swore he would not get us into WWI. Dem FDR declared war on Japan, amidst rumors of collaboration with Churchill, his cousin. John Kennedy sent our troops to VietNam, and Johnson escalated.
Lincoln was our first Republican. Hated by so many that the South seceeded. Noxon actually ended Viet Nam. Reagan ended the Soviet Union. VOTE LIBERTARIAN! GET THE BUMS OUT!

Democrats, although I am a fan of divided government. One party in the presidency, one party running Congress. Clinton and the Republican congress did well together... balanced a budget, reformed health care, etc.

Democrats GREAT for the poorer american people's benefits far as medicaid , medicare etc is concerned, but suck at WAR!!! The country will suffer with terrorists attacks.
Republicans GREAT for WAR and keeps our country a safer place however They Suck bigtime at giving the poorer american people benefits , it is like they are trying to eliminate them if they can't afford to pay for certain drugs or health care , these people will suffer.

Liberalism is an ideology, philosophy, and political tradition that holds liberty as the primary political value.[1] Broadly speaking, liberalism seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of minorities are guaranteed. In modern society, liberals favour a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed[2]. Liberalism rejected many foundational assumptions which dominated most earlier theories of government, such as the Divine Right of Kings, hereditary status, and established religion. Fundamental human rights that all liberals support include the right to life, liberty, and property. In many countries, "modern" liberalism differs from classical liberalism by asserting that government provision of some minimal level of material well-being takes priority over freedom from taxation. Liberalism has its roots in the Western Enlightenment, but the term now encompasses a diversity of political thought, with adherents spanning a large part of the political spectrum, from left to right. In the context of economics, the term "liberalism" refers to economic liberalism, which is associated with the political ideology of liberalism itself.
You decide, I have....
