It may have been on general release or for TV it cocentrates on the difference of the two religions as experienced by the children,one boy and one girl. i would like to track a copy of it as some of it was filmed at my old school in st. albans. hertfordshire in England

The film was called "Hand in Hand" made around 1960 or perhaps 1962. I recall that it was the little girl who was Jewish. I'm afraid I can't remember who was in it, but I believe it was one of those films with plenty of familiar faces. I saw it many years ago and loved it. Good luck with your search.
