Honda includes oil changes at 10,000 miles as a reason for the "Maint" light coming on. Now, I don't know who would let any vehicle go 10,000 miles between oil changes, but if the oil changes are not done at the dealer, the light remains on. Is there an "at home" way to reset the light trigger?

you might think this is a joke but its not... to turn off the light hold trip odometer button in and turn on ignition for about 15 seconds... it should beep when reset

Something is or was wrong or it would not be on. Sometimes it is only a glitch or a sensor has an invalid reading. Usually it means that one of the sensors is bad, You might not notice this at first but it may cause more things to go bad. You may be able to get the light off by pulling the fuse to the ecm or disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If there was a problem this may make it harder to find.

I have a slightly earlier model of Honda, but if by chance they are the same "light" all you have to do is take a pen cap or something small and just push the indention underneath the "light" it will authomatically change back to green.

I just insert the key in the slot next to the light and push until it turns green again.
