I agree with most....she was hoping the man would show up at her sister's funeral, so she can see him again.
If he were the funeral director, I believe she'd know where to contact him, the same being as if he were the priest. After all, she contacted both these people when her mother passed away.

The man was with her sister and she could only get his number out of her sister by killing her. It also got her out of the way.
