Ray Lewis or Lawerence Taylor is my choice because these linebackers made deffense something to watch and foucus on more than the offense.

Walter Payton. Class act both on and off the field, something that neither LT or Ray Lewis can say.

And Brett Favre sucks. Never heard Walter holding the Bears hostage, figuring out if they were going to be good enough for him to think about coming back.

PAST

offense: Jerry Rice- He doesn't need people's opinions to show how good he is because he has tons of records. Or you can say Dan Marino because he was one of the best QBs in the history of the NFL with probably the most QB records.

defense: Deion Sanders- Probably the best CB to ever play the game we call professional football.

PRESENT

offense: Tom Brady- Leadership, skills, ability to win.He is probably the greatest draft steal in the history of the NFL being drafted in the 6th round of the 2000 draft. Since then he has completed 61.9 percent of his passes for a total of 18,035 yards, 123 Touchdowns, and a career QB rating of 88.5. Yes Peyton Manning has better stats but Peyton Manning doesn't have 3 rings on his finger.

defense: Ray Lewis- This 6-1 245 lb. LB is a beast. he has had only 2 seasons without at least 100 tackles. In total he has over 1200 tackles in 10 seasons. He will continue to be as good as he is and in my opinion will enter the Hall of Fame when his big career is over.

Offense: Jerry Rice or Barry Sanders
Defense: Deion Sanders(Because of his covearage and ability to score on an INT). Only made a tackle when he had to though.
Or L.T. Even though he was coked up. He redefined the position of linebacker.( Give me a few years. Uhrlacker will surpass L.T.)

Shaun Alexander, Chad Johnson, are the players of today...

Reggie Bush, Vince Young and Leinart are the players of the future.

ND's Samarzjida is trying to hook up the Neon Deon/Bo Jackson two sport deal...we'll see if he can pull it off..

James Brown, because he was tougher than nails and NO one could keep him down. Tough as nails and carried men on his back, dragging them down the field for extra yards. now days the backs run out of bounds and lay down. Bet you could ask a lot of NFL players and they would agree too....try to watch some of the old film clips of his play, he was a real work horse. Plus they didn't get paid diddly in those days, he did it because he had heart and integrity..... rare qualities.

Joe Montana. First off, he went to Notre Dame. Second, Joe had all of the winning pieces at San Francisco for all of his world championships.
