I think that today's politics are more underhanded and less concerned about the masses of people. They don't try to teach us that if we over populate that that will drain our water source much sooner, the politics of today seem more concerned about stealing from others and making more money. They also seem like (congress) they don't act on anything until they read it in the newspaper. Also it seems like only Jesus and Mohammed followers are the majority who are killing people.
