I imagine the knowledge of most of the people who answered this question is (like they answered) "slim to none".

Brazil is a very good team and are last WC's winners. They have some of the best players in the world playing all over the world in English, South American and European leagues.

Australia have some of the best players in the world playing all over the world in English and European leagues.

Of note, so far they beat the 5th best South American team. It was thought to be impossible. They beat the Greeks, the 2004 Euro champs. They beat the Japanese, the Socceroos' first WC game in 32 years 3-1 (should have been 3-0 but for the foul that the ref didn't pick up and later apologised for). They beat The Netherlands in a friendly on their home ground....no matter how friendly a game is, you never lose on home ground if you can help it!

Australia has a chance. Brazil has a chance and about 9 hours will be the test of time!

I didn't think Australia would beat Japan so I'm a new Socceroo fan. It just goes to show that anything can happen in soccer. I like both Brazil and Australia teams so that'll be a good match! I hope Australia will do well but if stats mean anything, Brazil's gonna win.

If Brasil plays like its first game, oh yes you can expect them to lose. Because, I thought they where goin to win by 2-0 or 3-0. But the results shocked me. They dont do enough. If they keep up like that, 3 points for Australia or tied game.

i am immigrating to Australia in a year and i consider myself an Australian but unfortunately chances are low for them.
perhaps it also would depend if Brazil want to use ronaldo again, it seems he is having a hard time running in the field. he seemed he had a breathing problem in prev game!
