The best way to become an actor is to act, act, act. Get involved at every opportunity. Remember auditioning is acting too. Learn a couple of monologs, a comedic, and a serious piece. Put yourself into it until it becomes you. Then, audition as much as possible. In the mean time join improv groups or start one in you home. Improve is like going to the gym for athletes. And community theatre is always a plus because you are getting experience and you are hanging around actors. It is best to expose yourself to the industry in as many ways as possible. Get some headshots and a resume together. Put everything you have ever done from the neighborhood play to the church Christmas pagent. Then send the things out to casting agencies.
