I'm looking for an answer specifically in the context of a job title at McDonald's (the burguer corporation). I'm well aware of other connotations.
My anticipated thanks for your time and effort.

It shapes the burger buns. In Spanish, it is "almacenador intermediario del bollo".

A "bun buffer" is a term used to say that buns are being held in a hot area after being toasted, ready to be assembled. This is used as a time saver, as it takes up to 12 seconds to toast each bun.
