Actually the terms are "large cap" and "small cap" stocks. Click on the link below, and you can find definitions of all both of those kinds of stocks and everything else.

Large-cap: Over $5 billion
Mid-cap: $500 million to $5 billion
Small-cap: $150 million to $500 million
Micro-cap: Below $150 million

if a stock has market capitalisation of more than Rs.100crore it is called mid cap stock. a stock which has market capitalisation of more than Rs.1000crore is large cap stock. a stock which is neither mid cap nor large cap is small cap. market capitalisation=number of shares x price of the share
