tell the interviewer you were researching his company. you wanted to find out all you can about the company because of your interest in being hired there. this will score you big points at the interview. also mention you keep in touch with friends and family through e-mail since it's more efficient than phone tag.

In an interview...I'd say I mostly do research for classes and intercourses.
