I enjoy answering people's questions and reading how others respond to questions. I don't think I'm smarter than anyone else - just more outspoken with my opinions.
Your assumption that people who ask questions are really dumb is ridiculous. Actually the smartest people in the world constantly ask questions. I think the dumb ones are those who don't ask questions.
(I haven't asked a question yet on Yahoo! Answers because I haven't thought of anything worth -5 points yet.)

no whiz kid, i don't think that i am superior to anyone , in any sense. I answer questions to which I think I have an understanding view of an experience with. I offer my answers as only advice to those who wish to listen. Ultimately I leave the person to choose my answer as a whole or part, to which is most relevant to them.
I ask questions for I am not knowledgable on all things great or small. I expect a sincere answer, whether to reinforce my core belief, or to challenge it. I also seek answers that I have no understanding of and generally want thought given to it.
My concept of answers is to give a valid opinion that may differ from what I percieve.

We learn by asking questions. When a child is developing you will notice that child will ask all kinds of questions, because it is part of growing up, part of developing and part of learning. We never stop learning, so questions and answers, whether here at Yahoo! or just in our everyday life, will always be with us.

i'm here for various reasons;
1) i'm bored
2) give out opinions (sometimes thats all what others want)
3) ask for opinions
4) share experiences
5) find out if others share any similar problems
6) amuse myself with other's silly predicament. (like "ooh, my bf of 3 hours says i have big ears, shud i go for surgery?")
dude thats all there is to it for me. i dont give a nut about points.
