Too bad, cause it isn't. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but almost all of you who are married are gonna be getting a divorce sometime in the near future. Sorry, but it's the truth. (And no I am not married).

I am not talking about grandparents or marriages that happend back in the 50's and 60's. I am talking about in today's day and age. All marriages are gonna fail because marriage is not cherished the way it was back then. Today marriage is a joke.

In August, we are re affirming our vows, after 23 years together.
So STFU & get over the fact you're jealous!

Well, some people still value, cherish, and respect the sanctity of marriage. Yea, there aren't many of us but I'm one and my husband is too. The only reason we think anyone should get a divorce is because of abuse. We both know that according to God, the first person you marry will be your spouse until the day one of you passes on (unless the marriage is annulled by the church). Therefore, even if you remarry, you are committing adultery every time you are intimate with your new spouse. My husband and I take marriage VERY seriously and we were brought up with morals and values therefore, I have no doubt in my mind, my marriage will last. Why are you so cynical?

No one takes marraige seriously any more. When people talk about marraige it isn't happily ever after it is.. When he/she messes up I can get a divorce for lass than 1000.00$ you see it every day. And now a days people are getting married after only a couple of months of even knowing one another which is crazy to begin with. back in the day you "courted" for many months before commiting to marraige. now people just go get married bcause it seems like a good idea at the time and in two weeks when the "new" wears off there really wasn't love there it was only a good time for a few days. so agian the divorce rate goes up.

I am sorry you are so pessimistic about marriage, You must have nothing but bad times with relationships with men. Don't keep looking for the bad. Give things a chance to work, before you rush into judgment. There are plenty of good men out there. If you keep going this way, you are going to be very lonely in old age.

I have been married for 18 years....this one will go forever. It will be the first marriage in either of our families to last.
Your position that all marriages will not last has not provided any proof. Can you back this up?
I have read evidence to suggest that 50% of marriages fail...not the 100% you claim.

I know that through thick and thin, rain and sunshine, good and bad, fussing and laughing, crying and celebrating, I WILL ALWAYS REMAIN MARRIED to my husband. We love each other a lot but there are days when we cannot stand one another. The VOWS that we took before God and all of our friends and families solidified us to remain yoked together until death parts us. I've been married a little over one year, it is my husband's second marriage and my first. You mustn't think so negatively or else you'll experience negative events throughout your life. As a man (or woman) thinks in his (or her) heart, SO IS He, (or she). Self fulfilling prophecy is a mutha. Someday SOON I hate to tell you (not) you're going to fall head over heels in love. You'll get married someday just because I SAY SO. There. And it will last. Em hmm. Thereyago.

so, what do you tell YOUR grandparents that have been married over 60yrs?? they wont last??
what kind of ? is this and how dare you presume you KNOW this without living it yourself. before asking a ? you should be living it or at least have an intelligent ? that YOU might know about.
YOU dont know about ANYONE"S marriage here on the internet. you are a jerk!!!! talk to your GRANDPARENTS!!!!!
I have been married 16yr. yes marriage takes lots of twists and turns, and lots of tries, and lots of love and lots of hard work, but in the end it does work for people.
YOUR GRANDPARENTS ARE PROOF OF THIS!!!! LOOK AT THOSE FOR GUIDENANCE!!! NOT THE INTERNET.
YOU JERK!!!
