My Dad used to take me to horse races! lol My Mom hated it but we didn't care. He would just puff his smokes, buy me a pack of candy cigarette's (when it was not unacceptable to give your kids candy that looked like cigarettes!) and let me put a dollar on any horse that I liked the best so I would look at them all and see which one was the prettiest and I would "name" it and we would cheer for the horse by what ever name I made up! We never bet anything but a dollar a race but we were going to strike it rich!

I remember that my mom used to throw my brothers and my allowance down the stairs instead of bring it to us. This wouldn't have been so bad except that our allowance was a quarter. Getting hit with those can hurt!!!

Endless summer days... when someone asks you... "so..what you doing today?" and you answer, "...nothin..."
No worries, no pressures....just watching clouds go by, listening to the wind through the trees, the blades of grass between your toes... ahhh
