you know you hear all these storys about big music companys suing people cos they didnt give em their pound of flesh. whats your experience with this site?

it OK , if you have a firewall it wont let you get infected. also be careful where you load the downloads to, i suggest creating a folder for the purpose .

Limewire is good software i still use it to this day. I really like Limewire, I'm actually an avid user of it. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. If you are looking for a good peer to peer software to download music, softwares/programs and videos you should get limewire too.
It's a safe and reliable pogram but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. It does not matter what P2P program you use, you always have to be cautious about what you download.
Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.

Chances of a lawsuit (several hundred out of millions of users) would be slim to none, but still possible.
I got a worm from a file I downloaded over a year ago...ruined by hard drive. I used Limewire for the file. I wouldn't recommend any P2P programs. They're just not reliable anymore. They don't make em like the old Napster anymore.

Limewire's light version is free to use. The pro version costs money. But you can also check out Frostwire, which is the same thing but with pro features and is free.
There is no "safe" way of stealing music online, if it's a concern for you, then the best thing to do is to not do it at all. But technically it's a crime to SHARE music, not download it.

As said above you only pay for Limewire Pro but I prefer to get my music from iTunes where I know I'm getting a completely bug free download.

For me, limewire is safe to use. It's also free, you can download as many songs as you like. It also download songs fast. I've been using limewire for almost a year and I haven't gotten any viruses. So, I think it's really safe to use.

LIMEWIRE IS FULL OF VIRUSES AND SPYWARE.
I SHOULD KNOW, I HAD TO PAY £30 AFTER USING LIMEWIRE FOR JUST 1 MONTH.

Its free until you get caught! Also a lot of the files have viruses etc so scan them before opening!
